Gallop I is a unique, hand-built ceramic sculpture from the key series of Winged Vessels by Veronika Janovec. Its body rises from a grounded, vessel-like base and opens into a crown of sharp, upswept edges, like wings caught mid-lift or cliffs mid-weathering. The surface is dark, with a rough, mineral texture and a lustrous sheen that shifts with the light. Fissures, ridges, and hollows run through the form, so it reads like a sea cliff or a weathered rock face. Built entirely by hand, one of a kind.
