FAQ
What type of finish is applied to the aluminium surface? Is the raw aluminium sealed or left completely natural?
The raw aluminium surface is sealed with a protective wax finish.
Is this table suitable for outdoor use, given that the aluminium develops a patina over time?
This table is designed for indoor use only.
How are the aluminium and MDF combined? Is the MDF a structural core wrapped in aluminium, or used only for specific parts?
The table features a structural MDF core wrapped in aluminium.
The listing shows two colors (Aluminum and Black). How is the Black finish achieved, and does it affect the visible patina/hammered texture?
The Black finish is applied only to the MDF base, leaving the aluminium surface and its hammered texture unaffected.
Can a protective coating be applied on request to slow or prevent patina development, for buyers who prefer a stable finish?
No, a protective coating cannot be applied on request; the aluminium naturally develops a patina over time as part of its character.
What are the recommended care and maintenance requirements for the raw hand-hammered aluminium surface?
The surface is finished with a protective wax. For everyday care, dust with a soft, dry cloth. When cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soapy water and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive sponges and harsh or acidic cleaners, such as vinegar, lemon, or chlorine-based products, as they can mark the surface. To refresh the finish, apply a thin layer of furniture wax every few months and buff with a soft cloth. Over time, the raw aluminium develops a natural patina, which is part of its character.
