Certificate of Authenticity

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document issued by a reputable source that confirms the genuineness of an artwork. Often, COAs are signed by the artist, but they can also be signed by the gallery representing the artist or the printmaker who collaborated on the piece. For works sold in the secondary market, COAs are frequently issued by authorized estates or foundations.

COAs usually contain the artist's name, the artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions, and, whenever possible, an image of the piece.

Handcrafted from solid sterling silver, this box is cut, shaped and soldered by hand. Its geometric form is topped with a square stone cabochon, available in dendritic agate, banded onyx or petrified wood. Each stone is individually set, with a natural pattern that makes every piece unique. The lid is fitted with a handmade hinge constructed from silver wire and tubing. Dendritic agate reveals delicate, branch-like inclusions that resemble fragments of a landscape. Banded onyx is defined by its distinct layers of contrasting tones, creating a naturally graphic pattern. Petrified wood preserves the grain of ancient timber, transformed into stone over millions of years. The images are provided for reference and illustrate the design of the piece. As each stone is a naturally formed material, variations in colour, shade, pattern and texture are inherent and to be expected. The stone in your piece will be individually selected and may differ from the one shown in the photographs. These natural variations are part of the character of each unique piece. Conceived as a contemporary keepsake, the box brings together enduring materials and a restrained geometric form. Designed to hold everyday treasures, it is made to be used. A functional object with a lasting presence, it bridges the personal and the timeless.
