Pièce unique
  • EXCLUSIVE WORK
Designed by Arthur Percy during his influential tenure as artistic director at Gefle Porslinsfabrik, this model "AE" vase is a striking exemplar of 1930s Swedish Art Deco and early Functionalist ceramic design. The piece features a dramatic spherical body balanced by a crisp rolled collar. It is coated in Gefle’s coveted gunmetal-black glaze—a smooth, highly reflective finish that gives the ceramic surface a dark, mirror-like metallic luster reminiscent of polished steel or obsidian. Part of Percy’s iconic dark-glazed vessel series (alongside related models such as AB and AC), this vase stands as a sophisticated statement piece for collectors of modern Scandinavian ceramics. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Markings: Impressed with circular GEFLE factory mark and model code "AE" to the base. Height: 15 cm (5.9 in) Width (at widest): 13 cm (5.1 in) Top Opening Diameter: 5.5 cm (2.2 in)
