Bacchus, god of wine and revelry, appears among bacchantes and grape-laden vines in this heavy sculptural crystal bowl. The figures emerge in high-relief frosted satin (satiné), creating a striking dynamic contrast against the clear crystal body and the crisp, geometric hand-polished cuts at the rim and foot. The design, dimensions, and physical weight correspond closely to René Lalique's Bacchus bowl design. However, because this specific piece is unsigned, an definitive attribution cannot be confirmed. It is presented on its own strong aesthetic merit, substantial period weight, and fine visual craftsmanship.
