Various local stone types are used throughout the series, creating a quiet mosaic of textures and colors that reference their scattered as-found condition. A fog-like pure aluminum plane reveals the stone below and ties the floating fragments together, acting as a neutral unifying element. Damaso worked closely with the fabrication team and selected pieces of Winterset Limestone from Montana to create a series of outdoor pieces that showcase the as-found condition of the stone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSmooth surfaces, split edges, fabrication marks, and traces of extraction can be seen in one single object expressing its unique character and revealing the process of domestication of a natural material.   \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe untamed natural block acts as a weighted base to a contrasting delicate metal surface that is mechanically attached to the stone accentuating its assembly and machine-made quality.
