{"title":"sashaxsasha","description":"Sasha x Sasha is the creative union of Alexandra Gineva and Alexander Dobrovski—two architects turned designers who bring a poetic architectural sensibility to the world of collectible objects. Both graduates of the Moscow Architectural Institute and holders of a Master’s in Architecture from St. Lucas University, they began their journey by founding Masterskaya in 2013, before launching their Paris-based studio, Sasha x Sasha, in 2019.\n\nTables, benches, lighting, and sculptural ceramics emerge from this ethos—crafted from cast concrete, wood, clay, and metal. Each object echoes a quiet resilience, celebrating the aesthetics of function while pushing boundaries in form. Earthy textures meet minimalist lines, resulting in work that feels tactile, grounded, and elegantly unrefined.","products":[{"product_id":"840951-sella-curulis","title":"Sella Curulis Stool","description":"Sella Curulis is a stunning piece of art that doubles as a functional stool. Using remnants of building materials and whatever else they can find, they create objects they need in their daily lives, such as tables and benches.\nWe often came across such ‘furniture’ in our architectural practice and at some point began to document it, creating an archive of forms. The first object in the series was created for the Collectible exhibition in Brussels in 2020 in black. Black was chosen as the absence of color revealing the sculptural nature of the form that was created at random.\nThe next step was to cover our random sculptural forms with materials that are completely uncharacteristic of them: veneers of rare woods. In this way, we contrasted the random forms with the finishes traditionally used for complex and expensive pieces of carpentry.","brand":"sashaxsasha","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57063294271753,"sku":null,"price":9600.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0671\/5290\/4457\/files\/kzjxsmigmphwzlvoaerq.jpg?v=1778931685"},{"product_id":"high-school-lover-bench-by-sashaxsasha-and-apollinaria-broche","title":"High School Lover Bench by Sashaxsasha and Apollinaria Broche","description":"High School Lover is a new take on the studio’s classic SSB01 bench. In place of\nMDF, this piece is crafted from solid oak because of its weight, warmth, and sense\nof permanence.\nThe key inspiration behind the piece is a school desk—an object that keeps the\nmemories and marks of those who used it. The name High School Lover is a nod\nto Coppola’s music video for Playground Love by Air, where a piece of chewing\ngum becomes the unexpected protagonist, journeying through various scenes and\neven performing the song.\nsashaxsahsa worked in collaboration with their friend and artist Apollinaria Broche\nto add their version of living chewing gums to the bench. Apollinaria pierced the\nbench with hand-sculpted aluminium details—each piece an imprint of teenage\npast time. Some elements resemble stickers reminding of how we used to cover\ndesks and notebooks with them, while a cast of a toy snake recalls the prank of\nhiding one inside a desk to startle teachers.\nTrue to its high school spirit, the piece didn’t stay pristine for long. sashaxsasha,\nApollinaria and two of their friends went to spend a weekend in Normandy, where\nthey engraved the bench’s surface, much like a school desk gets filled with notes\nand scribbles over time.\nSchool is where we ask our first big questions, feel things with unfiltered intensity,\nand become, briefly, our truest selves. High School Lover invites us back to that\nfleeting sense of mischief, discovery, and the thrill of getting away with something.","brand":"sashaxsasha","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57063295254793,"sku":null,"price":15000.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0671\/5290\/4457\/files\/w8mld5qedv0awct8hkbe.jpg?v=1778931729"},{"product_id":"etagere","title":"Etagère","description":"Etagère is the latest piece in the collection. In a poster, this structure defines the relationship between text, image, and negative space; in these tables, it is transferred from the flat plane into three dimensions and becomes the physical framework of the object.\n\nThe form does not begin as a solid mass that is subsequently perforated. Instead, it emerges as a sequence of filled and empty modules, giving material and absence equal compositional weight. Void is no longer residual space but an active element that produces rhythm, depth, light, and shadow.","brand":"sashaxsasha","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67607868670342,"sku":null,"price":12000.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0671\/5290\/4457\/files\/puq6hjlunlxxcqer0kig.jpg?v=1791794817"}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0671\/5290\/4457\/collections\/sdobrovsky_gmail_com.jpg?v=1765196969","url":"https:\/\/oblist.mom\/collections\/sashaxsasha.oembed","provider":"The Oblist","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
