Luciano Costa is a Brazilian designer who works primarily in solid jequitibá, alongside other native woods. Each piece is made individually, to order. The work begins with conviction, before form. Drawing on a singular view of life, individual consciousness gives shape to matter by turning inner values into concrete form. In doing so, it rescues the object from chance and gives it deliberate meaning.
