Her hand-drawn patterns became a conceptual starting point for translating textile into structural form. In the Serwetka Lamp, perforations in the aluminum echo the lace-like voids of embroidery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese cut-outs allow the aluminum sheets to be “stitched” together with gathered textile ruffles, turning decorative into functional. The lamp challenges expectations of textile in design, no longer soft or secondary, but firm, architectural, and central.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNatural wood supports the composition, providing functional support and emphasizing the contrast between material softness and solidity. An essential part of the project is the use of natural, local materials.
